Ghanaian-Nigerian actress Yvonne Okoro recently sparked a debate by expressing her preference for Nigerian men over Ghanaian men.
Speaking in an interview on TV3’s “Showbiz 360” with Giovani Caleb, Yvonne Okoro stated that she’d choose a Nigerian Man over a Ghanaian man.
According to her, Nigerian men are better than Ghanaian men. She emphasized that while financial stability is important, love and affection are crucial in relationships, noting, “Money is not the only thing; love and affection are very important. They can give you money, but what if they are abusive?”
These remarks have sparked a range of reactions on social media. Some people are of the view that the way Yvonne’s Nigerian father treats her mother is probably part of the reasons for her statement.
Some nosy users however have questioned her relationship status especially since the actress turned 40 recently.
While it looked like Yvonne Okoro is not ready to walk down the aisle, her younger sister, Roseline Okoro’s marriage dominated social media on Saturday, April 10, 2021. Yvonne was one of the bridesmaids at the wedding.
