Carly Williams, Veteran Knoxville Hair Stylist Dies in Car Accident

An 11-year veteran hairstylist in Knoxville TN, Carly Williams, is dead following a car accident that has left family and friends stunned.

Williams, of Gnarly Carly Hair and Salon Aquarius, passed away in a crash in Knoxville early Thursday, December 26th, 2024.

According to reports, two people died following a crash on Clinton Highway around 1 a.m. Thursday that caused the closure of Bell Stanley Road for hours. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating. The Knox County Regional Forensic Center says a man and a woman died in the crash.

Authorities are yet to issue a preliminary report to determine what caused the crash or to formally identify the victims.

However, on social media, friends have already started mourning Williams, ID’ing her as one of the victims.

“Carly Williams you were literally my whole childhood and my middle school very best friend. I can’t believe your gone and I don’t understand why?” wrote Candice Buchman Dawson. “They say we’re supposed to trust God’s plan but I don’t understand this one and I never will. I don’t have words and my mind is numb. Rest easy beautiful girl,”

Carly Williams was a veteran hair stylist/colorist in Knoxville Tennessee with over a decade of experience. She worked as an Hair Stylist & Hair Colorist at Mane + Co and color specialist/stylist at Salon Aquarius Knoxville.

Williams loved Southern Food, City Girls and dressing in black. Her favorite vacation spot was Miami, according to her bio on the Salon Aquarius site.

Williams got engaged to fiancé Jeffery Wilkerson in November.

Her work has been nominated for awards several times including multiple entries at the One Shot Hair Awards.
