As Ghana prepares for the transition of power from President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to President-elect John Dramani Mahama, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams has called on his congregation to pray for a peaceful and orderly handover. Leading his church, Action Chapel International, in fervent prayers, the renowned pastor emphasized the importance of divine intervention to ensure a smooth process.
During the service, Archbishop Duncan-Williams specifically urged his congregants to pray for the outgoing president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and his peaceful exit from office. “We owe it to the president to pray for his peaceful departure, not in chaos,” he stated. “He has served two terms, and it is important that we pray for his exit to be peaceful, with no disruptions. Pray that anything that could cause chaos in his departure be blocked,” he added.
The Archbishop’s call for prayer underscores the significance of ensuring a smooth transition of power, free from any unrest or challenges.
