Gospel singer turned television presenter, Empress Gifty Adorye, has finally revealed why she was unable to attend a taping of Nana Ama McBrown’s show on Onua TV, Onua Showtime, after receiving an invite.
Several weeks ago, a fight sparked between fans of these two massive celebrities after McBrown called out Empress for failing to attend her show and not giving her prior warning.
She revealed that they had agreed for Empress’ appearance, only for her to cancel last minute. She added that Empress should have called her if she planned to cancel.
The gospel singer later claimed a family emergence led her to cancel her appearance, but social media users never fully believed her.
However, following the recent death of her mother, McBrown decided to bury the hatchet and visit her. During the visit, Empress told McBrown in tears that her mother had fallen sick on the day she was invited to the show which led to her cancellation.
She added that she didn’t want the truth to come out which is why she never told McBrown what actually happened.
