Michelle Moyer, born on April 27, 1967 in the United States, is an American public figure primarily recognized for her marriage to former NBA star Dennis Rodman.

Moyer participated in track and field and played softball during high school, her athletic prowess alongside that of Rodman imbibing their kids with the athletic skill they exhibit in their lives.

Little is known about Michelle Moyer outside her marriage to Rodman. She met the former Bulls star in 1999 at a bar in Newport Beach, California. Their relationship blossomed quickly, leading them to marry on May 13, 2003—Rodman’s 42nd birthday—in a private civil ceremony.

The couple had two children together: D.J. and Trinity Rodman (born in 2001 and 2002 respectively). Interestingly, even after their marriage, they maintained separate residences just two miles apart, a unique arrangement that Rodman described as beneficial for their relationship.

However, their marriage faced significant challenges almost immediately. Moyer filed for divorce in 2004 after enduring a tumultuous period marked by Rodman’s struggles with addiction and erratic behavior. Despite filing for divorce, the couple attempted to reconcile multiple times over the years. Ultimately, their marriage was dissolved in 2012. Moyer’s decision to file for divorce was influenced by a serious motorcycle accident that served as a wake-up call for her. She expressed the need to prioritize her children’s well-being over the chaotic dynamics of her marriage.

“I’m blessed to be alive. But I knew that I couldn’t take it anymore,” she told ESPN in an interview. “I needed to be there for my kids. I decided to divorce and be done with the Dennis stuff. That was it for me.”

Michelle has appeared on television, on shows such as Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew and Sober House. She is also involved in charitable causes related to addiction and mental health. She is also a singer.

At the club level, she plays as a forward for the Washington Spirit of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). The Spirit selected her 2nd in the 2021 NWSL draft when she was just 18, making her the youngest draftee in history.

She set the internet alight following an interview on the ‘Call her Daddy’ podcast in which she skewered her father for being an absentee dad.

“He’s not a dad,” she said. “Maybe by blood, but nothing else.”

“With the dad situation, in terms of what I’ve filtered and what I’ve talked about, I feel like me and my brother have been very generous with the way that we’ve talked about it and very unselfish,” Rodman continued. “I think we never want to make him look bad, and that is at the cost of holding in a lot, and a lot of issues we’ve gone through and just like, trauma, per se.”
