Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, the founder and general overseer of Action Chapel International, has expressed strong confidence in the return of John Dramani Mahama to the presidency. During a recent courtesy call on the President-elect, Duncan-Williams shared that he had always believed Mahama would reclaim the highest office in Ghana following his 2020 electoral defeat.
Reflecting on past conversations, Duncan-Williams recalled speaking with Mahama in 2016, when he prophetically told him that although he would have to leave office, he would return at the right time. “I remember that when we spoke in 2016, I mentioned to you what I felt prophetically—that you would have to leave, and at the right time, you would return,” he shared.
The Archbishop reiterated his belief in 2020, telling Mahama, “Mr. President, you are not coming back now, but you will return after 2020.” Duncan-Williams added that after the 2020 election, he remained confident that Mahama’s time had come to return, fulfill his mandate, and complete his unfinished business.
Emphasizing the importance of managing expectations, Duncan-Williams urged Ghanaians to pray for Mahama as he prepares for the challenges ahead. He reminded the public that Mahama is a vessel in the hands of God and that the nation should support him through prayer, avoiding unrealistic expectations.“God will guide you, protect you, and give you what it takes to move this nation, according to His mandate, to where He wants it to be,” Duncan-Williams declared. “We are praying and believing that during your term, the negative narratives that have plagued the governance of this country will change.”
With Mahama set to be inaugurated on January 7, 2025, Duncan-Williams’ comments have resonated with many Ghanaians, who view his return as an opportunity for positive change and progress. As Mahama prepares for his leadership, the support and prayers of the nation will be vital in guiding his presidency.
