Reactions
The post regarding Le’andria Johnson’s arreste was shared on social media by a North Carolina publication and sparked intense reactions from fans.
While many called for her to be treated with grace considering she has a problem she’s battling and appear unable to control, others said she needs to be shown the same judgmental scrutiny that an ordinary person who isn’t a celebrity would have faced if they ended up in her predicament.
One comment read: “Lets show her some grace.. the devil is seeking to destroy those with purpose for the Kingdom.. to abort her destiny to give her walk with Christ no credibility. But this will make her testimony so much more purposeful for those just like her ! (being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ) phillipians 1:6 !! Lets keep eachother in love because we all need Gods grace,”
Another comment, the completely diametric opposite of the previous one, said: “It’s amazing how people show “amazing grace” for well known people, but with the same breath will “slander and cut to shreds” , and completely humiliate regular everyday people that fail and make mistakes. We ALL deserve the SAME INTENSITY OF COMPASSION. People are something else. Please, keep the same level of compassion, grace, positive feedback, and mercy for everyone else y’all drag on this app,”

Johnson was placed on probation but later served 30 days in jail after she broke the terms of her probation.
Following her testimony going viral, she shared a statement addressing the incident: “For those that follow me on social media know I am very transparent. I refuse to be fake from the pulpit nor paying people off to not tell my story. While ministering yesterday I shared the most recent incident in my life as a testimony to others,”
Johnson was born on January 23, 1983 in Palatka, Flordia to Bishop Gregory Johnson and First Lady, Pastor Sharon Johnson. She started singing at age two in her father’s church in Altamonte Springs, Florida.
After an initial early career that could not match the heights of her promise, Johnson hit the jackpot when she decided to audition for BET’s Sunday Best. It was a decision she took due to financial constraints and the difficulty of raising three children, and it ended up catapulting her to stardom. She won the show, and later hit No.1 on the Billboard Gospel chart with her coronation song from Sunday Best, ‘I Shall Leap Into my Destiny’. She had two successful follow-up albums after leaving the show, with her debut ‘The Awakening of Le’Andria Johnson’ debuting at number 1 on the U.S. Billboard Gospel Albums chart and no. 24 on the Billboard 200. A mother of three and twice-divorced, Le’Andria Johnson has an estimated net worth of $9m.
