A similar viral post was shared on TikTok which also appeared on X with a graphic on it reading: “Wholewheatpete got arrested at AWA and is now registered on the SO (s*x offender) list and banned…”
The posts sparked interesting comments on social media as many people noted how they were not pleased with the actions of wholewheatpete and were happy a kind of karma had caught up with him.
“I always thought he was weird. I never watched much of his content, I thought some of the streams he did in cosplay were cool but he got kinda annoying after a while from the clips I would see of him. I never thought he would go this far tbh but I recently found out he did a controversial cosplay. Glad he was arrested the whole thing sounds creepy af and he just seemed like a very weird person,” one detailed comment on reddit read.

Despite the news going viral and most people slamming Droz, he quickly came out to deny all allegations.
In a statement, Wholewheatpete denied being arrested and slammed those spreading the false and baseless rumors against him. He said there is no basis to the claims and called on people to verify information before sharing.
“It has come to my attention that false rumors have been circulating about an alleged arrest. I want to set the record straight: I have not been arrested, and there is no truth to the claims being spread at AWA. I strongly encourage everyone to verify information from credible sources before jumping to conclusions,” he said.
Wholewheat Peteis is an online streamer known for hosting streams on Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok, where he plays games like Genshin Impact and Osu! No stranger to controversy, he caused a stir previously after a disturbing cosplay at a Houston convention where alongside another creator D=Piddy, they dressed up as Justin Bieber and Diddy with the latter chasing the former with baby oil.
The video sparked outrage and has been highlighted as a major reason why most people have turned against WholeWheatPete. While he initially succumbed to public pressure and apologized, he later took down the apology post.
