Ghanaian musician Kunta Kinte, known as one half of the popular music duo Bradez, has opened up about his 15-year battle with a life-threatening illness. In an emotional interview on the Fakye Showbiz  podcast, the “One Gallon” hitmaker shared the painful journey that began with a stroke, which left the right side of his body non-functional.

Kunta Kinte revealed that the stroke initially confined him to a wheelchair, making it impossible for him to walk or lift his arm. Despite these immense challenges, he never succumbed to despair or entertained thoughts of suicide. Instead, he chose to see his journey as a source of hope and motivation for others facing similar struggles. “You have to believe in yourself. Your life is precious, so you have to push through,” he said, inspiring many with his resilience.

Addressing rumors surrounding his condition, Kunta Kinte dismissed claims that his illness was the result of personal conflicts, stressing that it was purely a medical issue.
