Jimmy Chang, a popular realtor in Atlanta widely beloved for his competence and demeanor, has died.
Chang was killed in a car accident in Atlanta, although details are sketchy.
News of his death was shared by stunned members of the Atlanta realtor community and others at large.
Rich Kim, a fellow realtor, shared his shock at the sad news. He revealed how Chang welcomed him warmly to Atlanta and made him feel so at home in the city that it became his home away from home. Kim revealed they were supposed to meet at an upcoming real estate convention before the sad news of Chang’s untimely demise.
“RIP Jimmy Chang. I’ll never forget my first trip to Atlanta where you showed me the true meaning of southern hospitality and made me feel at home. Because of you, Atlanta became one of my favorite places” Kim said. “We were supposed to enjoy the next real estate convention together, and this year, after many calls, we finally started working at the same company. It has been an absolute privilege knowing you, and you will be deeply missed, brother.”

Another heartfelt tribute came from Nyla Lieu, who shared how jovial and fun Jimmy was as a companion. She revealed that she always felt better whenever they hanged out and also highlighted the many positive impacts Chang had on her life.
“I can’t believe you’re really gone, Jimmy. You were always so cheerful and kind, and I always felt better after talking to you or hanging out. You had the biggest heart,” she said. “Thank you for your friendship, the many laughs, TGIF nights, and karaoke nights over the years… You always had my back no matter what and I will never forget the impact you had on me. You were like a brother to me and you will be truly missed,”
Jimmy Chang worked at the Jimmy Chang Real Estate Group, which he founded after a long career at Palmer House Properties and New Western Acquisitions. He was the President of AREAA, a non-profit in the Atlanta Metro Area. Chang was a former Management and Information Systems graduate at the University of Georgia.
