Jeremy Lee Whitehead, an army veteran and an important member of the fitness community in Monroe, New York, has died.
Whitehead’s death was revealed in numerous sad posts shared by friends, family and former combat brothers on social media.
Nick Mako, a fellow former Army veteran, shared the sad news in an emotional Facebook post. Sharing numerous photos of himself and Jeremy, Mako wrote: “The world lost a great man yesterday. The world lost, a warrior, a soldier a medic and one of the most charismatic and sweet hearted dudes I know. Yesterday my brother Jeremy Lee Whitehead became part of the 22,”
He admonished everyone to tell their loved ones how much they love and appreciate them on a regular level, hinting at a possible cause of death for Whitehead. He added that Whitehead was more than a brother to him but had taken care of him during their time deploying together.
“I love you more than you know my brother. Since day 1 in Afghanistan, you’ve taken care of me and our brotherhood. I love and miss you my bro. I cant wait until I hear the sound of your pipes when get up there with you,” he added.
Orangetheory Fitness Monroe, where Whitehead was a regular, being a personal trainer helping others, also shared a tribute in his honor.
“Jeremy brought so much energy and care to OTF Monroe and, previously, the Capital Region studios. His impact on our members and the communities he served will never be forgotten,” they said. The establishment announced all classes for Monday, December 16th were being cancelled out of respect for Whitehead.
Jeremy Lee Whitehead is survived by his wife Emilia, their daughter Jolie and other family members.
