Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, the outgoing Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West, has broken her silence after losing her seat in the 2024 parliamentary elections. In an emotional social media post, she expressed gratitude to her supporters and reflected on her time in office.
Owusu-Ekuful, who represented Ablekuma West since its creation in 2012, was defeated by Reverend Kweku Addo of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). The election results revealed that she secured 26,575 votes, while Rev. Addo received 31,866 votes.
In a facebook post, Owusu-Ekuful shared her optimism about the future, writing: “Thank you Ablekuma West!! Sayonara….Thank you Lord for the opportunity to serve. Next chapter in my life unfolding so let’s see what He has in store for me. Looking into the future with confidence.”
As she moves into this next phase of her life, Owusu-Ekuful expressed her commitment to mentoring the next generation of leaders and continuing her support for society through her foundation.
