A Ghanaian medical doctor identified as Dr Joyce Emefa Addo-Klah has been praised for her swift action in saving a patient’s life during a recent flight.
Dr Addo-Klah was a passenger aboard KLM Royal Dutch Airlines flight KL 589 from Amsterdam to Accra when a health emergence occurred.
A passenger was left in distress mid-flight after suffering a medical emergency. At that point, the Ghanaian doctor intervened, helping the unwell passenger.
She reportedly took charge of the situation and managed the crisis until the team’s arrival in Accra where proper medical care could be sought for the passenger.

Her actions were praised by flight staff and also by Ghanaians on social media.
