Dominique Brown, a Disney creator and influencer, has died following a food allergy accident.
Brown was killed according to people close to her after being fed food she’s allergic to during a an industry event hosted by BoxLunch on December 5th, 2024. She was 34.
A colleague influencer, Mike Bryck said hosts of the event where informed of her allergy yet still fed her food containing the item she’s allergic to.
Friends of Dominique Brown took to social media to mourn her, with Bryck sharing: “I checked and I don’t think this has been shared here and I think it should be. This wonderful human is Dominique Brown. She was a creator mostly around Disneyland and part of a small but mighty and growing community of black Disney creators. Sadly, and unfortunately completely preventably, she was killed yesterday at an event. I didn’t know her sadly but I’ve already heard amazing things about her. Please keep her and her family in your hearts this season,”
Another industry friend wrote: “My deepest condolences to the community @dominiquebrown created and nurtured. Her joy and light were infectious. I was not blessed with knowing her but I could see she was truly amazing and someone to aspire to be. I am so terribly heart broken for all of you💔😞”

Dominique Brown was a Senior Design Manager in the Consumer Products Division at Disney, helping in the creation of toys. She was also an influencer for the Mouse House under the screen name HellooDomo. She cocreated BlackGirlDisney in 2018 with Mia Von after noticing a lack of representation in the Disney influencer space, something she’s been highly praised for. Brown resided in California.
Her brother has also reacted to her tragic demise, writing on Instagram in an ode to her fans: ” “Hi everyone, this is @pramos313 – Dominique’s brother. I wanted to take a a moment to say thank you to her social media fam for showing her so much love and light. Disney did bring her joy, but it was unparalleled that she found a community who loved her and Disney as much as she did. I will miss my sister and best friend and that infectious smile she always had. Thank you, truly, from the bottom of my heart. ❤️🥺.”
