Manny Pargman, a freshman student at the University of Colorado Boulder has tragically died after his body was discovered off a hiking trail.
Boulder County announced the tragic news in a press release, revealing a body was found west of Blue Bell Road in the Chautauqua Meadow area, an open space managed by the City of Boulder.
Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks rangers responded to the scene and located an 18-year-old male, who was pronounced deceased by a physician from Rocky Mountain Rescue.
An on-scene investigation conducted by detectives from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the Boulder County Coroner’s Office preliminarily ruled that foul play was involved. The deceased was carried back to the trailhead by rescuers from Rocky Mountain Rescue and turned over to the Coroner’s Office who will determine the cause and identity of the deceased.
Prior to the coroner’s report, a discussion on the r/cuboulder subreddit named the deceased as Manny Pargman, of Sandy Springs GA, a former Riverwood High School baseball player.
Pargman graduated Riverwood in May and had just commenced his freshman year. The redditor who identified Pargman noted he had a sunny disposition and will be heavily missed.
“He went to my school last year before graduating was a great guy never didn’t see him smiling… Miss him a lot,” they wrote.
