Ghanaian businessman Nana Appiah Mensah, popularly known as NAM1, has publicly denied claims that he purchased a car for actress and social media personality Efia Odo. Addressing the rumours on Twitter, NAM1 wrote that he appreciates the recognition but cannot take credit for something he did not do.
He tweeted:
“I did NOT buy @EfiaOdo1 the car in question. I appreciate the honour but unfortunately, I may have to decline this gesture, as I respectfully can’t accept credit I don’t deserve. Hardworking young women deserve respect. Cheers!”
The statement comes after controversial journalist Kevin Taylor allegedly suggested NAM1 was behind the car gift, which stirred public speculation about a possible connection between the two.
Meanwhile, Efia Odo has yet to comment on the businessman’s statement. The businessman’s statement emphasised his respect for hardworking women, which he used to deflect the false claims while urging for recognition of individual efforts.
