Dr Frank Zastrow, a renowned German oral surgeon who was previously Senior Physician at the clinic Schloss Schellenstein and currently running his own practice, has died.
Zastrow’s death was announced by professional colleagues all of whom expressed shock at his passing. No cause of death has been revealed.
“It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of the iconic Dr. Frank Zastrow, a beacon of inspiration in the field of dentistry,” said the Implant & Aesthetic Academy .

Dr Frank Zastrow graduated from Heidelberg University in 2004 having completed his dental studies program.
After completing his education, he was named the research associate at the oral surgery and maxillofacial surgery center of the University of Heidelberg. He later joined Schloss Schellenstein, the private practice of Prof. Fouad Khoury in Olsberg, Germany. He further established his credentials in the field with his work at the clinic, treating increasingly complex cases. In 2012, he took over his father’s dental practice in Wiesloch, Germany.

universally acclaime for developing the Biological Bone Augmentation (BBA) concept, focusing on reconstructing severe intraoral bone defects using autogenous bone and tissues. He formed the Facebook group Real Bone Builders, which connects more than 16,000 dental professionals globally, to share ideas and information on their methods utilizing his technique.
