Henry Fitz Allegedly Arrested Months After Serwaa Amihere Intimate Video Leak

Henry Amponsah, popularly known as Henry Fitz on social media, has reportedly been arrested by the police. While details concerning the arrest remain scanty, reports of his apprehension surfaced online on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, hinting at a connection to the extortion case involving GHOne TV broadcaster Serwaa Amihere.

Earlier this year, a private video featuring Henry Fitz and Serwaa Amihere leaked online. Allegations suggested that Henry Fitz released the video after a failed attempt to extort money from Serwaa. On April 3, 2024, Serwaa filed a complaint with the police, leading to a case at the Dansoman Circuit Court in Accra.

Court documents revealed that Henry Fitz, along with Edem Saviour Ketti and Candylove Kwakyewaa Ababio, faced four charges, including conspiracy to commit non-consensual sharing of intimate images, non-consensual sharing of intimate images, and sexual extortion. While Ketti and Ababio were arrested and appeared before the court, Henry Fitz, alleged to be the man in the leaked video, went into hiding.

In August 2024, the Dansoman Circuit Court dismissed the case due to lack of jurisdiction. Henry Fitz has allegedly been taken into custody and is currently held at the Greater Accra Regional Police Headquarters.

The arrest reportedly relates to the extortion case, but the circumstances surrounding it remain unclear. This development has reignited public interest. As of now, the police have yet to release an official statement confirming the arrest or providing additional information.
