Samantha Harris, a student at The Mary Louis Academy, a Catholic college preparatory school in Jamaica Estates NY, has died.

Harris’ death occurred on Saturday, November 30th, 2024, the school announced.

“It is with deep regret that we share that Samantha Harris, TMLA Class of 2025, passed on November 30, 2024,” the school said in a statement. “Sam was the epitome of the Mary Louis woman, having made a positive difference in every aspect of life. An incredible scholar athlete, she was also an ambassador for TMLA and a best friend to many,”

Harris died from cancer, according to the G.O.A.L.S Athletic League. ” Samantha Harris has succumbed to the cancer she fought with the same strength she showed on the field.” the organization said.

Harris is survived by dad Coach Chris, her mother Jennifer, and her brother CJ. The family is requesting donations be made to the G.O.A.L.S. Samantha Harris #1 Memorial Scholarship Fund in lieu of flowers.
