Noah Bonaiuti, Maryland Musician of Eritrean Descent Passes Away

The family of Eritrean-American musician Noah Bonaiuti has announced his tragic death and set up a GoFundMe fundraiser in his honor.

Noah Bonaiuti died on Saturday, November 30th, 2024. His cause of death was not revealed.

A GoFundMe fundraiser was set up by his family in his honor. Organized by Dania Bonaiuti of Silver Spring MD, the fundraiser shared the devastating news of Noah’s passing and eulogized him as an amazing personality who will be truly missed.

“Noah was truly a remarkable person who touched many lives with his kindness, warmth, and laughter,” the fundraiser said. “Noah lived a life filled with a love for music and Eritrea, passion for business, and first and foremost his love and dedication to his family. He was a cherished son, a devoted brother, a loyal friend, and a talented musician, whose endless kindness and hard work will forever be remembered.”

The fundraiser was to “honor Noah’s memory”, it said, and to celebrate his incredible life and impact. It was set up with a $35,000 goal and had raised $26,645 at the time of publication.

Noah Bonaiuti was born on October 4th, 1996 to parents of Eritrean background. He was a talented R&B/Soul musician with several songs including ‘Tasty’, ‘Hardheaded Woman’, and ‘Jaded’ gathering airplay on streaming services including Boomplay and Apple Music. His family was originally from Asmara.

Many Eritreans and Eritrean-Americans reacted with shock to news of Bonaiuti’s death.

“So sad news, may his beautiful soul rest in peace and deepest condolences to his families and friends,” one devastated fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
