With just seven days left for Ghanaians to head to the polls and determine the next President of Ghana, aspiring candidates are employing all available strategies—both physical and spiritual—to secure victory.
A recent video that has gained traction shows the NPP Presidential Candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who is a Muslim, attending a fellowship session with Prophet Adom Kyei Duah.
In the footage, the prophet is seen praying for Dr. Bawumia, invoking blessings upon him while endorsing his popular campaign mantra, “It Is Possible.”
The act has sparked mixed reactions among Ghanaians. While some have commended Dr. Bawumia for seeking divine support, others have criticized his actions, calling him a “religious prostitute” for moving between spiritual centres of different faiths.
Questions have also been raised about why a devout Muslim would opt to worship in a church rather than in a mosque.
As political tensions rise, all eyes are now focused on the December 7, 2024, elections, where Ghanaians will have the opportunity to decide their nation’s leadership for the next four years.
Campaign activities and electoral preparations are in full swing, underscoring the importance of this pivotal moment in Ghana’s democratic journey.
