Soren Dixon, a freshman at the University of South California and former Piedmont High School star athlete, has been identified as one of three people killed in the Tesla Cybetruck crash.
The crash which occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, November 27th, led to the deaths of three Piedmont High School class of 2023 graduates who had all gone off to college but returned to Piedmont for Thanksgiving.
According to reports, the Cybertruck was traveling near the corners of Sea View Avenue and Hampton Road next to Crocker Park when it jumper a curb, crashed into a tree and burst into flames. Officials believe speed to be a factor in the crash.
Three people died in the Cybertruck, and one person was pulled outside by a driver who had been driving behindthe cyber truck.
The rescued individual is in the hospital with critical injuries and severe burns.
Authorities have yet to identify the victims but one tribute post online identified Soren Dixon. Two other names associated with the crash are Jordan Miller and Jack Nelson, all both former Piedmont High graduates now in college. It’s unclear if they are deceased or injured.
Bronson Boyle, a college roommate of Dixon’s, mourned him on Instagram.
“Soren Dixon. One of the greatest I’ve ever known. The best roommate and friend I ever could’ve asked for,” Boyle said. “Our first night as roommates we snuck onto the new north roof, and just talked for hours, getting to know one another. That first day encounter, and every day of the 8 months that followed as roommates, were filled with unpredictable fun.”
He added: ” I’ll always remember you as brother-one who was righteous beyond belief. Rest in peace man. I’ll miss ya every day. I’ll raise a glass to you every day forever,”
