Actor and comedian Kwadwo Nkansah, known professionally as Lil Win, has called on Ghanaians to reject electoral violence and resist any attempts by politicians to lure them into wrongdoing during the elections.
Speaking during an interview with Amansan Krakye on Property FM in Cape Coast, Lil Win highlighted the dangers of engaging in violence for political reasons. “If you get shot or lose a limb, the politician you fought for will never do anything significant for you,” he said. “Even if they give you money, it won’t replace the leg, hand, or eyesight you may lose for the rest of your life.”
He urged voters to prioritize peace over political differences. “After voting, just go home quietly and pray that God helps the one you voted for to win. Don’t take money to fight for a politician or engage in electoral fraud,” he advised.
Lil Win also emphasized the importance of unity among Ghanaians. “No matter the political party you support, never see those who disagree with you as your enemy. Don’t take money to hurt someone or hate anyone because we are one people,” he stressed.
His message serves as a reminder to citizens to approach the elections responsibly and with respect for their shared identity as Ghanaians.
