One of Ghana’s favourite musicians, Grace Ashley has disclosed in a recent interview that contrary to reports, she has never received a penny from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for composing a song for Ghana Black Stars.

According to her, her love and passion for the team compelled her to write a song to boost the confidence of the Ghana Black Stars team.

However, after presenting the song to the former GFA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi, he assured her that they were going to get back to her and commended her for the song.

The song became a viral sensation in 2014. Despite the fame she got from the song, Grace Ashley added that she was almost banned from getting her Visa to travel to Germany for the team.

Grace Ashley told Nana Ama Mcbrown on the Onua Showtime Show that, a former secretary of GFA wrote a letter to the German Embassy for them to refuse her a Visa. But things worked out for her and she still managed to travel.
