Carly Jessica Flores-Araoz of Lake Worth, Florida, has been mourned by friends and family following her tragic death in a car accident in California.
Flores, 22, was visiting a friend in California when she was involved in a car accident that took her life.
A GoFundMe has been started in her honor to raise money to cover her funeral expenses and to fly her back home.
The fundraiser, organized by Bett Wright for her brother Chase Flores-Araoz, is seeking $50,000. “[Carly] was known for her sweet heart and bright personality. We remember the laughter, the moments of joy, and the warmth Carly brought to everyone around her. Her kindness, her spirit, her love—these things will never fade, even though she’s no longer here to share them in person,” Wright wrote. “We are raising money to cover the funeral costs and memorial services, as well as the unforeseen expenses of flying her back home to Florida to be with her family.” The fundraiser has already met its goal.
Former friends of Carly also took to social media to mourn her.
“My heart is so heavy. we have lost an amazing, beautiful and kind human. you were my cheer bestie and neighbor,” said Karly Briard of West Palm Beach. “I loved how we were with each other every day making choreography dances in our backyards and we have created so many beautiful memories together. you had such a beautiful smile and always lit up the room when you walked in. I love you and miss you. please rest my girl 🤍”
