‘I Charge At Least $200,000 For A Show’ – Shatta Wale Boasts

Ghanaian dancehall sensation Shatta Wale has once again captured attention, this time by revealing the impressive fee he charges for his performances. Speaking in a recent interview on Kumasi-based Fakye TV, the vibrant artist shared that his starting rate for a single show is a staggering $200,000.

Explaining the reasoning behind his premium booking fee, Shatta Wale highlighted the significant expenses involved in maintaining his superstar image. “It depends on some of the shows that come up. Now my rating for some particular shows is from $200,000 because of the car I will pull up to the event. I have cars that, if I put them together, would cost more than $1M,” he stated.

However, the dancehall king also noted that his fees are flexible depending on the situation and his relationship with the event organizers. “Sometimes, I look at it and think, okay, this is a show where I can charge this amount. There are other shows that I do for free. Some event organizers will call me and say they have GH₵200,000 or GH₵300,000, and I’ll just agree to do it,” he revealed.
