Sally Frimpong Mann, out-spoken entertainment journalist and pundit, has spoken out about the backlash she often receives from the public, dismissing claims that she thrives on controversy or seeks attention.
In an interview with Graphic Showbiz on November 19, 2024, she described herself as a fearless truth-teller in an industry full of pretense.

“People have issues with me because there are too many hypocrites in the industry who only speak the truth behind cameras,” Mann said. She made it clear that her boldness is not driven by personal vendettas against any celebrity but by her dedication to honesty. “If you are a celebrity and don’t want to be talked about, then go and hide under a bed,” she added unapologetically.

She also highlighted how her influence in the industry has grown, noting the attention her opinions generate. “At the moment, I think I can call myself the queen of Ghana’s showbiz industry. Yes, I deserve that because I’m a very important figure in the creative industry whose opinions matter,” she said with confidence.
