Jacob Campos, a former standout player for Fabens High School in Texas, has died.
Campos’ death was announced via a GoFundMe fundraiser which sought to raise money to aid in his funeral and memorial services. He reportedly died in an accident.
The GoFundMe, organized by Erica Martinez of Fabens TX, had the purpose of raising money “to help provide services to amazing young man who had a heart of gold. Funds will be put towards the expenses of end of life services,”
Jacob Campos was a leading player for Fabens High School Varsity Football through his school years, graduating in 2019.
Former coach Jake Belshe had nothing but kind words for the deceased young man.
“As a coach you will come along great players, but when you come along great players that are selfless, team first, do the little things right and always with the best attitude… well you cherish those players. Jacob Campos was such a great player but even a better person,” Belshe said. “The perfect teammate and captain! He was a great friend after football and will forever be missed and forever known to be one of the best to do it at Fabens High. I miss you already my dude and loved you like a son.”
