Caroline Moreno, Head of Business Development at Capitalixe Unexpectedly Dies at 37

Caroline Moreno, a British business executive who was serving as the head of business development for the payments and banking consultancy firm Capitalixe, has died.

Moreno unexpectedly died at the age of 37, a statement from Capitalixe revealed. Her cause of death was not disclosed.

“It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved colleague, friend, and Head of Business Development, Caroline Moreno,” the statement began. “Caroline was not only the first employee of Capitalixe but also a pillar of our team, inspiring us with her dedication, brilliance, and kindness.”

The post went on to praise Caroline’s brilliance and talent while offering condolences to her grieving family.

“Caroline’s passion for her work and the relationships she built with our clients and partners will forever leave an indelible mark on Capitalixe. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time,”

A talented and dedicated Business executive, Moreno had been at Capitalixe since 2021 at its formation. Capitalixe was formed as a payment and banking solutions for businesses and Moreno started out as its Senior Payments & Banking Consultant from February to July 21′ before being promoted to her current role as Head of Business Development in July 2021, holding that role till her untimely death.

Concurrently, Moreno served as the Head of Business Development for Pinnacle, the Global Payment solution for businesses to carry out cross-border payments.

Previous roles included her working as the Senior FX Hedging & Trade Finance Consultant at Ebury and as an Account Executive at Windsor Brokers.

Moreno grew up in London, attending the Our Lady’s Convent High School. She then carried out courses at the London School of Marketing, Lambeth College and the Universitat Politècnica de València (Valencia Polytechnic University); before earning her Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from the London Metropolitan University in 2015.

Caroline Moreno’s death stunned all who knew her, with Capitalixe colleague Lissele Pratt leaving a touching tribute.

“To the most beautiful, kind hearted, purest soul I have ever met, Caroline Moreno, words can’t describe how much you meant to me, you were my best friend, biggest supporter, business partner, with me through thick and thin no matter what.” she mourned. “I miss you so much like crazy and I wish I could have the chance to tell you one last time how truly amazing and loved you are. @capitalixe will never be the same without you, we are all devastated. Taken from us way too soon, but heaven have gained an angel 🪽😭”
