Ghanaian content creator and self-proclaimed counselor, Ohemaa Benz, has sparked intense debate online with her candid take on the balance between a married man’s loyalty to his wife and his mother. In a video, she criticized men who continue to prioritize their mothers over their wives.

“Marriage is a partnership,” Ohemaa declared, adding, “When you decide to marry someone’s daughter and start a family, your focus should be on building that new home, not clinging to your mother in every decision you make.”

“A man who still prioritizes his mother in everything, from finances to personal issues, is not ready for marriage,” she asserted. “It’s disrespectful to the wife and undermines the purpose of their union.”

Ohemaa urged men to lean on their wives for advice and support rather than involving their mothers in private marital matters.
