Adrian Bice, Columbus High School Wrestling Champion Mourned following Tragic Death

Adrian Bice, a Columbus High School student athlete who was state wrestling champ in Nebraska his senior year has died. He was 20.

Bice’s death occurred Saturday, November 16th, 2024, his father Eric Bice announced. His cause of death was su*c*de, his father revealed.

“Adrian will be missed so much. Our heart is broken as he could not over come his demons he struggled with for a while. I love him so much!” Eric Bice said, sharing an obituary of his son from the Gass Haney funeral home.

Adrian was born July 13th, 2004 to Eric and Lacey Bice (née Brown) of Omaha. He grew up in Columbus Nebraska with two siblings, Josalyn and Olivia.

He attended Columbus High School where he excelled in wrestling. Adrian won the state wrestling championship in the 126 pound category his senior year. He previously reached the final in 106 pounds as a freshman and was a semi-finalist his sophomore year at 113 pounds.

News of his death stunned not only his family and friends but the entire Nebraska wrestling community.

“I hope everyone in our wrestling family will keep their thoughts and prayers with the Bice family in this hard time. We lost a great one! RIP Adrian you will be missed dearly. We have so many memories on and off the mat,” Columbus wrestling said in a touching tribute.

Visitation for Adrian Bice is scheduled for Thursday, November 21 – Friday, November 2022 at Gass Haney. His memorial service comes off at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the same venue.
