Bale Sisneros, Albuquerque Tattoo Artist Mourned Following Death in Por Vida Tattoo Shooting

Bale Sisneros, the owner of the Por Vida Tattoo shop in Albuquerque, New Mexico, has been identified as the victim of a shooting at the premises of the business on Thursday, November 14th,2024.

Albuquerque Police Department officers responded to a shooting at the Por Vida Tattoo Shop located on 500 4th Street SW at around 8:30 a.m.

Officers on arrival found a man who had been shot dead. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Friends and family quickly gathered at the venue to mourn the tragic death of the individual who was identified as the business owner. They said the assailant entered the shop, asked for Sisneros, shot him and fled. Authorities are yet to identify a suspect.

Bale Sisneros was an extremely talented tattoo artist with over two decades of experience. He opened up the Por Vida shop as both a tattoo shop and tattoo supply store. According to his bio, he started tattooing in 2005 and specializes in freehand black and gray style tattoos. He is also a fine teacher who enjoys teaching others about his craft. Sisneros graduated Albuquerque High School in 2001 and opened his business, Por Vida Tattoo, five years later.

Tributes poured in for him following news of his tragic demise.

Bale Sisneros did so much for our community as well as his friends and everyone around him he helped and pushed everyone to be better he was a big inspiration for myself and many he came in contact with,” one tribute read. “He was a natural born hustler, entrepreneur & artist. He had so much more to accomplish and someone took it all away. This is a loss for all of Albuquerque.”

A second tribute read: “I didn’t even want to post or share anything because I was hoping it was not true. My heart breaks for your children, your family, for your shop… what a terrible loss for our community. Albuquerque has to do better,”
