Morgan Emma Jean Henderson, a 16-year-old Pittsboro IN girl has been killed in a car crash, her family announced.
Henderson tragically passed Monday, November 11th, 2024 in rural Pittsboro, an obituary shared by the EricMDBell Funeral Home revealed.
Her sister, Chelsea, shared a post confirming the tragic news and asking for privacy for the family at this time.
“This is Chelsea & I am posting this for my mom. We are very heartbroken to announce that my sister Morgan, was in a fatal car accident this morning. I am asking to please give me and my family time as we are trying to process in this difficult time,” she said.
According to reports, the crash occurred in the 1300 block of East County Road 900 North in Pittsboro.
Henderson is reported to have veered off the road, hit a parked truck and slammed into the side of a building.
The North West Hendricks School District, where Morgan was a student at Tri-West High School, released a statement.
“North West Hendricks School District grieves the sudden passing of one of our students. The loss of this young life deeply saddens us, and our thoughts are with the student’s friends, family, and loved ones,” the statement read. “When a tragedy occurs, it affects not only that school but the entire School District family, and we grieve with the students, staff, and families affected by this loss.”
Funeral arrangements are currently pending.
