Julie Marie Butcher, a mother-of-four was shot and killed the night of Friday, November 8th, 2024 while driving in San Antonio, Texas.

Julie was shot in the head just before 9: 30 p.m. while behind the wheel of her car on the Interstate 35 southbound access road between Eisenhauer Road and Rittiman Road.

She lost control of her car following the shooting leading to her vehicle rolling over and ending up in storm drain.

Butcher was declared dead at the scene.

San Antonio PD believes the shooting as a targeted incident and are on the lookout for suspects.

According to her family, Julie was a married mother-of-four who did not deserve such a tragic death. A GoFundMe has been established by DeAnna Melendez McMullen of San Antonio TX to raise funds for her surviving family – husband, Michael Butcher, and their four precious children—Hailey, Jaxson, Michael, and Kenneth.

“We are heartbroken to share the sudden passing of Julie Marie Butcher, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, and friend, who left us unexpectedly last night at the age of 31. Julie was a dedicated General Manager at Papa John’s in New Braunfels, admired for her strong work ethic and commitment to her job,” the fundraiser said. “As her family navigates this difficult time, we humbly ask for your support to help cover funeral expenses and provide some stability for her young children.”

The GoFundMe has so far raised $2,311 out of a $10k goal at the time of publication.
