Megan and Todd both at St Mary’s College in Moraga, California while competing for the school’s athletic teams.
Todd was a point guard for the male basketball team while Megan starred for the female volleyball team. Both were accomplished athletes and started a relationship that continued after school, leading to marriage.

Megan York Golden Wiki & Bio
Megan Golden was born Megan York on July 23, 1989 to Michael and Joanna York of San Antonio, Texas. She was the youngest of three kids all of whom are much athletically inclined (Brandon played basketball at Washington University in St. Louis).
York attended Ronald Reagan High School in San Antonio where she started her spectacular volleyball career. In 2005 she had a standout year, leading her squad to District and Regional Championships and helping them become State Semifinalists. Her exploits led to MaxPreps naming her as the 63rd best volleyball prospect in the country at the time.
Amidst a string of other accolades and on-the-court successes, York was heavily recruited by Duke, San Diego State, Tennessee, Miami and Texas State; but ended up choosing Saint Mary’s because of the campus and its strong volleyball program.
Starting from her freshman year in 2007, Megan York was a star on the volleyball court. She was named West Coast Conference Co-Freshman of the Year and was an All-Conference First Team and All-Freshman team selection. She posted double-digit kills in 27-of-28 matches for the Gaels and posted 20 or more kills in six matches. She made the West Coast Conference Honorable Mention Team as a junior and a senior, posting incredible stats throughout her college career. One outstanding characteristic of Megan York was her durability, often playing all games and matches for the Saint Mary’s Gaels.

Megan York met Todd Golden in college when he was staring for the male basketball team. They built up a relationship following college and eventually got married.
The couple have two children together, Jacob Michael, born in 2016, and Madison Leigh, born in 2018.

Megan’s husband, Todd Golden is the head coach of the Florida Gators men’s basketball team. He is currently under investigation following serious allegations of s*xual misconduct, including s*xual harassment, exploitation, and stalking. These allegations surfaced from a formal Title IX complaint filed on September 27, which was obtained and reported on by the Independent Florida Alligator.
Allegations
The Title IX complaint outlines several disturbing behaviors attributed to Golden including accusations of making unwanted s*xual advances through social media platforms like Instagram, soliciting s*xual favors from students and former students, stalking and sending unsolicited photos of his genitalia to some of these students.
A former student who spoke to the Alligator said he sent her unsolicited photos of his genitalia, in addition to following her in his car and on foot at least ’10 times.’
The University of Florida has not publicly commented on the specifics of the investigation due to federal regulations that restrict disclosure regarding Title IX processes.
Todd Golden, who was hired in 2022 with a six-year contract worth $18 million, recently received a two-year extension that increased his annual salary to over $4 million, securing his position through the 2029-30 season12. His coaching record at Florida stands at 42 wins and 29 losses, and he has been credited with leading a competitive team this season.
