Max Power, Youtube Daredevil Declared Dead by Fans after Contracting Brain Eating Amoeba from Jumping Into A Pool

Maximilien ‘Max’ Power, a YouTube star who performs outlandish stunts is being mourned for his ‘death’ after a video of him jumping into a pool of diseased still water and contracting the brain eating amoeba surfaced online.

Max Power performed the stunt in 2019 when he jumped into a pool on a dare.

The video surfaced on TikTok recently, shared by the page Obsolete voids with the graphic: “I dare you to jump into Still water,”

It shows Max performing the stunt, jumping into the pool with barely any clothes on.

Max contracted the brain eating amoeba – Naegleria fowleri – from the stunt, according to a post on his Strange Places with Max Power social media pages.

“Max Power, hospitalized after getting the brain eating ameba from still water shown in @lordexplores @obsoletevoids video,” he captioned the post.

According to the CDC, Naegleria fowleri is a free-living ameba, a kind of one-celled organism that thrives in warm freshwater lakes, rivers, and hot springs.

It has the “brain-eating ameoba” moniker because it can infect the brain and destroy brain tissue. While highly rare to contract, it is also extremely fatal.
