A GoFundMe fundraiser started for deceased Cape Girardeau boy Owen Capriola following his death has raised over $20,000 for his family.
Capriola passed away tragically in recent days with no cause of death publicly disclosed.
Capriola’s father coached soccer for SEMO Elite FC, a youth level club serving Southeast Missouri.
The club paid tribute to Adam in a social media post following his demise, writing: “No words can adequately support or comfort in the wake of such a tragedy. Our thoughts, prayers and sincerest condolences go out to Coach Capriola and his family. May the Lord wrap this family and all impacted with his love.”
The club urged followers to donate to the GoFundMe, which started out with a goal of $20,000. It has currently raised approximately $22,385 at the time of publishing this piece.
