Claire Zeller, a 24-year-old Kinesiologist of Saint Petersburg, Florida, and Tristen Hoover, 27, has been identified as the two victims of a crash in Baton Rouge Saturday morning.

A single-vehicle crash occurred in Baton Rouge around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, November 2nd in the area of South Foster Drive and Claycut Road.

According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, the driver lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a tree.

Two fatalities were recorded, Tristen Hoover, 27; and Claire Zeller, 24, both passengers in the rear of the vehicle that crashed.

Friends and family members have been mourning Zeller, of Saint Petersburg, who is from Saint Amamnt in Louisiana. Zeller is also a graduate of Kinesiology and Exercise Science at the Louisiana State University.

Claire is survived by her parents and one sibling, according to her cousin Carrie Zeller.

“I am truly at a lost of words. Please keep my family, especially my aunt, uncle and cousin, in your prayers as they will need all the strength during the upcoming days. Claire was my cousin, the baby cousin. Saying she will be missed is a drastic understatement,” Carrie wrote in a teary goodbye to her cousin.

“Another one gone too soon, fly high big dawg Tristen Hoover,” one tribute to him read.
