The family of the late Presidential candidate of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Akua Donkor, has called for the state to honor her with a state burial.
Speaking in an interview, two of her relatives both said their mother deserves such a burial for her contributions to politics in Ghana.
Akua Donkor passed away earlier this week at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital (Ridge).
She had reportedly taken ill at her residence in Nsawam and was rushed to the Nsawam Government Hospital.
Due to lack of facilities, she was transferred to Ridge but unfortunately, died after some hours at the hospital.
Her family are calling for the state to honor her with a state burial.
