During a heated discussion with journalist Mehdi Hasan on the program “NewsNight with Abby Phillip,” Girdusky made a controversial remark: “I hope your beeper doesn’t go off.”

This comment was perceived as a reference to an incident involving explosions linked to Hezbollah members in Lebanon, resulting in numerous casualties.
