Disrespect For Davido Online Is Too Much – Nasty Blaq

Published by

Popular Nigerian skit maker Nasty Blaq recently voiced his disappointment over the growing online criticism aimed at award-winning singer Davido. Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account, Nasty Blaq expressed that the artist and DMW record label founder has been subject to an excessive level of “disrespect” from social media users.

In his post, Nasty Blaq shared his concerns, hinting that Davido’s well-known generosity might be taken advantage of. “The disrespect Davido is getting is way too much sha,” he wrote. “Man just wants to help people, and that’s all.”

His remarks followed an incident involving content creator Korty EO, who publicly shared her frustration after Davido’s team allegedly asked her not to release an interview she filmed with him.

Korty explained that Davido’s team initially approved the interview for release but later asked her to withhold it without providing clear reasons. She expressed her frustration on her X handle, writing, “They [Davido’s team] agreed that I should re-edit this video and now have said I must not post the video for reasons I still don’t understand. I am not scared of anyone, but I am wise enough to stay out of battles I’m not equipped for.”

Korty also shared her experiences with similar situations, saying, “I’ve filmed so many artists who eventually tell me not to post the video. If you don’t want people to see you for who you are, please do not come on my show. Stop wasting my time.”
