King’s death occurred the night of Thursday, October 24, 2024 in a motorcycle accident.

Friends, family and loved ones took to social media to mourn.

“We lost one very special young man tragically last night in a motorcycle wreck. Our hearts are broken. Go rest high, Gaige King. We love you so much!” Family friend Robin Hill said.

Photographer Robin of R.H Akery Photography had sweeter words for King, lauding him for being a sweet boy, kind, respectable, and someone who loved and cherished everyone he came into contact with.

“Gaige was kind and respectable and had a light that everyone could see.” she wrote. “We all loved Gaige. He was a Class Act. He was one of the good ones. His life may have been short but his light was extremely bright.”

Gaige King, of Douglasville GA, graduated South Paulding High in 2023. He was a baseball star and committed to East Georgia College.

A meal train has been organized for the family.
