Lul Pab, a cousin of Quando Rondo’s, was killed on August 19, 2022 in a shooting targeting Rondo that was believed to be retaliation for the earlier murder of King Von.
Lul Pab was killed in the shooting and Rondo escaped with his life. Two years later, five Chicago gang members with ties to Lil Durk were arrested for the murder.
A short while later, Lil Durk himself was also arrested.
Who was Lul Pab and What Happened to Him?
Lul Pab was a cousin of American rapper Tyquian Terrel Bowman, known professionally as Quando Rondo.
Pab was killed in a shooting that occurred in August 2022 near the Beverly Center in Los Angeles.
According to reports from the time, Lil Pab was pumping gas at a station when shots ran out towards him and Rondo. He sustained gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The shooting was believed to be retaliation for the death of King Von, a Lil Durk affiliated rapper who was killed following an altercation with Quando Rondo two years prior.
Quando Rondo insisted following the shooting that he was defending himself from Von’s aggresions. Surveillance video appear to back up his claims as Von was seen throwing punches at Rondo, who claimed he was napping in his car outside a nightclub in Atlanta when King Von and associates attacked him.

Nevertheless, Rondo was held responsible for the murder by Lil Durk apparently.
Plot to Kill Quando Rondo
Lil Durk is alleged to have hired a crew of five gangsters, provided them with resources to fly from Atlanta to California to carry out a hit on Quando Rondo.
The team of gangsters is believed to have surveilled Quando Rondo for days in California before taking their chance at him that fateful August day.
However, the shooting did not succeed as Rondo escaped with his life with his cousin Lul Pab instead being killed.
In October 2024, the five person crew were arrested and indicted for the murder of Lul Pab. All five were believed to be members of Lil Durk’s Only the Family (OTF) crew and were charged in connection to the murder-for-hire plot. Feds made a connection to Lil Durk as the crew allegedly used an OTF linked credit car to finance their travels.
Lil Durk was also arrested by U.S. Marshals on Thursday, October 24, 2024. He was booked into the Broward County Correctional Facility in Florida with no bail. Records show he is awaiting extradition to Florida to face federal charges.
The arrested gangsters have been identified as Kavon London Grant (aka “Vonnie”), Deandre Dontrell Wilson (aka “DeDe”), Keith Jones (aka “Flacka”), David Brian Lindsey (aka “Browneyez”), and Asa Houston (aka “Boogie”).
Social media has already blown up with varied reactions to the news.
“Lil Durk was awarded two keys to the City of Chicago just a few days ago for his philanthropic contributions. Now, he has been arrested by U.S. Marshals on charges related to a m*rder-for-hire plot involving the death of Quando Rondo’s cousin, Lul Pab,” one reaction read.
