Actress Halima Abubakar has publicly apologized to Apostle Johnson Suleman of Omega Fire Ministries for making false allegations against him. In a letter shared on her Instagram page, Halima acknowledged the damage caused by her actions and asked for forgiveness.

This apology comes six months after a Federal Capital Territory High Court ordered her to pay N10 million in damages to Apostle Suleman for defamation. The controversy began in 2022 when Halima accused the clergyman of various wrongdoings, including womanizing and engaging in diabolical activities. After she fell ill following an alleged altercation with him, her family blamed the apostle, though Halima later clarified that she was battling an autoimmune disease.

Apostle Suleman eventually sued Halima for defamation, seeking compensation for the harm done to his reputation and ministry.

In her letter, she wrote:

“I am writing today to acknowledge the falsehoods I spread against you on social media and to offer my sincerest apologies. After deep reflection, I realize the extent of the harm, pain, and distress my actions caused. I admit that I made false accusations, and I deeply regret the damage I caused to you, your wife, Dr. Mrs. Lizzy Suleman, your family, and the leaders of Omega Fire Ministries.

With this letter, I humbly ask for your forgiveness. I know my apology cannot undo the hurt I caused, but I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me. I was not in my right mind at the time. Sir, you have done so much for humanity, and I ask that you extend your hands of forgiveness toward me.

Once again, I am truly sorry for the pain and distress I caused to you, your family, and your ministry. May God bless you, and may the heavens bring peace to your heart.”
