Afia Pokuaa On Bishop Amoako’s Son’s Accident – “Negligence Could Land Parents In Jail”

Ghanaian media personality Afia Pokuaa has weighed in on the recent tragic accident involving Bishop Salifu Amoako’s son, which resulted in the death of two young girls. She highlighted that the responsibility in this case falls heavily on the parents, especially now that it’s gone to court and they have been charged.

Afia explained that if the police can prove that the parents were negligent, such as allowing their son access to the car keys despite the risk, they could face serious consequences. While the son may be sent to a juvenile facility for a maximum of three years under the Juvenile Justice Act of 2008, the situation could be even worse for the parents if evidence emerges, such as videos of their son speeding before the accident. This could indicate a pattern of reckless driving, making it more difficult for the parents in court.

She advised people to be mindful of what they post on social media, referencing a case in the United States where parents were jailed for failing to prevent their child from accessing a gun, which ultimately led to a school shooting.

Afia concluded by urging the public to use this incident as a reminder to be cautious in parenting, rather than mocking Bishop Amoako. She acknowledged the challenges of raising children in today’s world and encouraged people to approach the situation with empathy and understanding.
