Racer Zac Brunkala, R & Z Auto Recycling Co-Founder Dead in Accident

Zac Brunkala, the co-operator R & Z Auto Recycling in Painesville, Ohio, is dead.

Brunkala’s death was confirmed by the Painesville Speedway where he raced with the number #47. No cause of death was listed but he reportedly died in an accident in Willoughby.

The Speedway said in a post on social media: “Our racing family is hurting this evening. Sadly we have lost not only a racer but a friend. We have had the pleasure to become family with the Brunkala’s over the past eight years and we were able to watch Zac grow not only as a racer, but a person and a family man.”

Zac, of was a graduate of Mentor High School and was co-founder of the towing and scrap purchasing car service – R n Z Motorsports & Auto Recycling alongside his father, Richard.

His death sparked numerous tributes from friends, family and fans.

“My deepest condolences to Zac’s family and friends. I enjoyed watching him race the past 2 seasons. He will be missed by many,” one post read.

Zac leaves behind his partner, Hollie Myers, and two children.
