Bo Hopkins of Wisconsin Dell, a father and revered local coach is being mourned following tragic news of his death via a fatal car accident.

Hopkins was reported dead via a GoFundMe aiming to raise some funds to help his family.

“On the afternoon of October 16, Bo was tragically taken from us in a devastating car accident. Our hearts are broken. This fundraiser is to assist in burial costs and other unexpected expenses as his loved ones navigate through this unimaginable time. Please keep his daughter Ashiya, sister Trisha and family in your prayers,” the fundraiser read.

Hopkins was loved and news of his passing drew numerous tributes from friends.

“Bo was a great guy. Every time you saw him, he made you feel like seeing a best friend you haven’t seen in a while. Always genuinely asking how you were doing and would give you a hand shake. He treated everyone with respect and as his equal,” one such tribute read.

Meanwhile, the fundraiser has so far realized about $33,000 out of a $45,000 goal·

A memorial for the deceased is expected to be held the afternoon of Wednesday October 23rd at Trappers Turn in Wisconsin Dells.
