Twitter users are reacting following Detroit Lions defensive end Aiden Hutchinson suffering a bad leg injury that led to him being carried off the field during a Sunday night game.
Hutchinson broke his leg during the Dallas Cowboys v Detroit Lions contest in a moment that went viral online.
Video showing Aiden Hutchinson in immense pain in the immediate aftermath of the injury surfaced on social media, particularly X (formerly Twitter) where it went wildly viral.
Aidan Hutchinson is being carted off of the field. Prayers up 🙏 the Fox Sports NFL Twitter account tweeted.
More graphic videos showing the play that led to the leg break were also shared all over Twitter.
Distraught fans sent out well wishes to Hutchinson following the injury.

“Why so many injuries this year. Heal fast Sir,” one user wrote on X.
Another said: “Prayers and best wishes for Aidan Hutchinson as he’s carted off with an injury. His health and recovery are now the priority for fans and teammates alike. 🙏”
Hutchinson, a defensive end, was sent to a Dallas-area hospital and underwent immediate surgery. According to a statement from the Lions, he suffered a broken tibia (leg bone).
ESPN’s senior NFL insider Adam Schefter tweeted: “Injury update: Lions DE Aidan Hutchinson underwent immediate surgery at a Dallas-area hospital for what the team is now calling a broken tibia.”
Hutchinson born August 9, 2000 (age 24) is an American professional football defensive end (DE) for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League (NFL).
He was selected with the second overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft by the Lions and named to the All-Rookie Team in 2022.
Hutchinson was a runner-up for the Heisman Trophy in 2021 with the Michigan Wolverines. He made his first Pro-Bowl in 2023.
