Ghanaian comic actor Dr. Likee, also known as Akabenezer, has revealed that he has an upcoming movie focused on illegal mining, commonly referred to as galamsey.
This announcement comes amidst the growing concern over the destructive effects of galamsey on the country’s water bodies and forests.
Speaking on The Bonah Show, Dr. Likee shared that while he has created various content addressing the issue of illegal mining, his highly anticipated movie will serve as the highlight and is set to be released next month.
“I have a lot of content on galamsey. In fact, I have a movie on it that will be out next month,” he said. “The movie isn’t political; it’s meant to advise against galamsey because our water bodies are in terrible condition. When I travel abroad, I see how they preserve their water bodies, but ours keep deteriorating.”
