According to ADO Alex King Nartey, spokesperson for the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the accident occurred near the Omama Shop in East Legon when the teenager’s Jaguar collided head-on with an Acura. The impact caused a wooden electric pole to collapse, and the wires fell onto one of the vehicles, igniting the fire. “There was a head-on collision involving an Acura and a Jaguar. The crash caused a wooden electric pole to collapse, and the wires fell on the vehicle, sparking a fire,” Nartey explained.

Tragically, two women who were trapped inside the Acura were burned beyond recognition as the fire engulfed both vehicles. Despite emergency responders arriving on the scene, the intensity of the blaze left them with no chance of survival.
